The Reading to Write Program (RWP) at the Academic Learning Centre is limited to 20 students per intake session. As such, we would like to ensure that all participants understand the demands of this program and are committed to finishing the program.
Please read the following agreement carefully and check each statement to show your agreement.

You will commit a minimum of 4 to 6 hours per week to working on you RWP assignments. *
You will submit your assignments by the due dates. *
You understand that to complete the RWP successfully and receive Co-Curricular Record (CCR) credit, you must complete all four assignments. *
If you are unable to complete the program, you will notify the ALC in writing as soon as soon as possible. *
If you do not submit your first assignment by the due date without notifying the ALC, your registration will be cancelled. This is to ensure that all applicants have a fair chance at entering the program. *
You understand that the Reading to Write Program is online and asynchronous and that you will need an Internet connection and a computer to complete the assignments. *
The Academic Learning Centre will contact you before the start of your chosen session to confirm your registration. If you have any questions, please contact the ALC at academic_learning@umanitoba.ca

Notice Regarding Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Information by the University
Your personal information is being collected under the authority of The University of Manitoba Act. The information you provide will be used by the University for the purpose of registering you for the Reading to Write program, and for communication regarding resources, progress through the program, and feedback regarding the program. Your University email address will be shared with Student Life for the purpose of updating your co-curriculum record. Your personal information will not be used or disclosed for other purposes, unless permitted by The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
